Process and Fees

Step One: Inquiry Form or 15-Minute Consultation

Complete the Inquiry Form if you have questions about my policies, fees, or FAQs or are ready to schedule an appointment. I will email you within 1-2 business days.

Step Two: Questionnaires

I will email or text (your preference) a link to access intake forms. Teen clients: parents and teens have paperwork to complete. Intake documents are due within 48 hours of receiving the link to confirm the initial appointment.

Step Three: Initial Appointment

I'll summarize what I already know about you as the jumping-off point to the conversation. Your comfort is my priority; I will emphasize reviewing consent, policies, procedures, and how the therapy process works. My goal for you is to walk out feeling comfortable and hopeful.

Step Four: Individual Session

We meet weekly for at least the first month, ideally the first two months. Setting a firm foundation and building strong rapport is crucial in the process. My outcome measures support meeting weekly saves clients' money. Therapy time is about the present and moving forward instead of catching up on the past. My clients average about 30-40 sessions.

Step Five: Discharge

As you progress, we space sessions out. Clients in the maintenance stage come in once a month to once every six weeks. Some clients stay in maintenance for a few months, while others remain there for a few years. It's your preference.

Teen Clients

Many teens and college students bring themselves to the Session so that we can schedule monthly or quarterly consultations with parents. If your teen is over 18, I need client approval to talk with you. Parents must sign a financial authorization form.

Session Length and Cancellations

Most sessions are 45-50 minutes every week. If you cannot attend your appointment, please cancel with at least 48 hours' notice to avoid financial responsibility for the Session. On a case-by-case basis, telehealth may be an alternative to missing a session. If your appointment is on a Monday, it must be canceled by Thursday at 5:00 PM to avoid the fee.

Payment

The initial 60-minute session is $225, and 50-minute sessions are $200. Payment is due at the start of the session. A credit, debit, or HSA card must be on file, and you can manage your payment methods in your portal. Your card is charged one hour before your scheduled appointment time.
