Cindy Gullo, LCPC - Therapist & Counselor

How Does Therapy Work?

I believe it’s possible for anyone to change the direction of their lives when they receive the right tools and support.

People seek out treatment for a variety of different reasons. However, before we start, I want you to know what you’ll be getting into.

Step #1
We'll Create a treatment plan.

This includes the frequency of visits and the projected length of therapy.

  • You and I will establish a schedule based on needs and financial abilities.
  • Some people attend counseling for a few sessions and others longer.
  • There is not a one-size-fits-all for therapy.

Step #2
You Talk, I listen.

No topic is “too much information.” Say what you want, how you want to say it. I’m a creative and active therapist with a slightly informal style.

  • Each session lasts between 45 to 50 minutes.
  • Some people have specific goals and timelines, while others prefer a fluid approach and need someone to talk to regularly.
  • Our first session is more logistical, and the emphasis is on rapport. We move as fast or as slow as you want.

Step #3
Adjustment

You’ll find that I am supportive and empathetic, mixed with a dash of wit and a side of humor. I saved you a seat on the couch! Take off your shoes, kick up your feet, get comfy, and let the process begin!!

What does it cost? How do I get started?
